My interest in photography started with helping my father in his photo shop in the small town of Quantico, Virginia many years ago.
Back in the 1990's when I got my first digital camera, an Epson, I learned to use it while photographing animals for adoption in our local shelter in Homer, Alaska. My love of animals and fascination with this new way to photograph really captured my imagination.
I took many of these photographs with my first generation Canon Digital Rebel now replaced by a Canon 50D. My lenses are the Canon 70-200mm L lens, Canon 10-22, Canon 17-55mm (my walk around lens), Sigma 105mm Macro, Canon 28-135mm, Canon 20-22 and the Canon f/1.8 50mm. I'm enjoying photographing with my iPhone4 and have posted those images in a special gallery. Tagging along always is my trusty Canon G10 and my FLIP camcorder.
I greatly enjoy photographing landscapes, sporting events, nature, pets, and historic structures and places. Photographing the beauty of the Southwest is an ongoing journey that never ceases to amaze me.
